The Valley Cars will always be a different color from the Notch train because it helps people tell the two trains apart. As for Thomas, it is hard to be certain, but Thomas is losing the volumes it once had all around. Both at Thomas events, and the TV series. It could be because there are many othe...

I believe I read somewhere they will be operating weekends starting in February, not sure about steam. WW&F is operating a steam weekend in February though.

Also both groups do their best to post special events in their respective threads here as well as on facebook.

A few years ago a special partnership was run where Monson #3 made a guest appearance. Now that the equipment will be at WW&F for a considerable time, there are oppurtunities to run even more rare and special trips.

Late to the chat, however it only takes ice built up in a flange way to derail a train. Which couls be as little as an inch of ice.

For the brochures, all they say is event dates. Schedules are not determined until they can figure out the expected equipment for the weekend. Also a steam powered freight would be neat, however would NOT make any money. Why you ask? Because 90% of everyone reading this would rather chase than be on...

Now that you mention it, you are correct. No piston rods are in there. Which continues my thoughts on why focus on 501 and not 7470. :/ Hopefully we can see 7470 return soon, and then see 501 start her restoration.

Do you have a link to the video? It bas already been cosmetically restored for the last few years. Ever since they had 7470 and 501 side by side during a night shoot at Railfans weekend.
