I was driving by where the Dale Secondary meets the Main Line on US 30 just east of Phoenixville Pike yesterday and noticed something I never saw before... it looks like a long overgrown railroad spur coming off the Cutoff or Philadelphia and Thorndale going north across US 30. I never thought anyt...

Trenton Cutoff / Morrisville line sees on average 8 movements a day 4 East/West Intermodal to/from Chicago 2 East/West manifest to/from Conway 2 locals east/west originating from Abrams All other as needed trains barely run anymore. Hi Nova, wondering if these numbers are still accurate? Or if this...

I missed the front end. I was driving by Overbrook and stopped at a light. I caught it half way through to the tail end.

I saw a train set heading west by Overbrook a little before 10 pm tonight

I am pretty sure 67E still runs west as a unit train.

Does H86 bring the mty's to Abrams so they can sit there instead of Eddystone. Then 67E runs west from Abrams?

Is there an interlocking planned for Ardmore so Amtrak does not have to run on the outside tracks between Bryn Mawr and Overbrook? Similar to Metropark on the NEC.

Think of it as a quid pro quo for all the subsidies they received in the past from the state for infrastructure improvements, including their unused brand new intermodal yard in South Philadelphia’s Navy Yard Was there ever any infrastructure improvements down in South Philly for NS? I see NS has l...

This might impact the former 60N/61N gondolas. I just saw a 39G on 12/4 with no gons https://www.inquirer.com/columnists/steel-trump-toomey-tariffs-port-20191203.html ...In Farrell, Pa., north of Pittsburgh, Russian-owned steelmaker NLMK Pennsylvania laid off 100 of its 430 steelworkers and cut 35 s...

Perhaps it was posted earlier in the thread, but what is the actual track mileage from Norristown to Pottstown (or from Bridgeport using the old Reading mileposts), and are there estimates for the actual proposed travel time? It already is at least 45 minutes Norristown to 30th St for a Septa expre...

I may be getting dates mixed up here, but I think the last passenger service was operated by Conrail under contract to SEPTA (therefore prior to 1983), so the issue of trackage rights did not arise; by the time the line was conveyed to NS the passenger service was long gone. In any case, I believe ...

New to this discussion. Do you mean that it went over the CSX Philadelphia Sub, and then proceeded to the SEPTA Airport Line?
Yes

Would single stacks west of Fraser on Amtrak's Keystone line indicate some type of restriction of double stacks under wire. Yes, NS runs under Septa's wire at Norristown everyday, but they run and a very limited speed given the station and interlocking to the Morrisville line. I don't know if doubl...

The Delaware trains are still coming up the NEC and heading west on the Harrisburg line?

The set did not operate on the Norristown line today.
