Re: CMQ for sale?

Something that I noticed but I haven’t see it mentioned. CMQ has track rights on the northern Maine railroad north of Millinocket. Guessing that means CP has track right on the entire NBSR system.

Big surprise to see CP back in Maine after 25 years from selling the line. Sounds like form the article for now CP would run Rockland but I agree that they may not renew after the contract up. Going to be interesting to see what CP dose in Maine as well as the CMQ locomotive and BAR 502. https://www...

Thinking the same thing with CMQ being power short. Last I heard they temporarily have use of Pan Am MEC 7534 (no idea if they still are) as part of the increase fright between NMJ and Brownsville Junction. Also hearing a couple of days ago that barn 9020 may be down if true that doesn’t help things...

Figure it was time to update the list. Not much change beside some of the old lease units shipping out and addition on two CEFX GP38-2/ GP38-3. Think right now is also the first or second time all the barns are up and running (soon after 9004 (down from Jan 2017 till March 2018) was repaired 9017 wa...

Lease is likely done, CMQ might just be tasked with getting it going again, instead of the lessor sending it elsewhere. Who knows.... True. It’s off lease from SLR, and it was sent to CMQ for repairs. Read at a couple of forms that CMQ was looking into leasing it but heard no more. It may have just...

Well can not confirm if it being leased but Cbfx 6031 was in Brownsville Junction and moved to Derby today with 3057, 9024, 9004, 9023, and 9024. Also two more CEFX units on the way on WAMA (Pan Am) today 414 and 3029.

Info about CEFX units on WAMA from Cameron Crawford

Well good news on 9004. Matt Sawyer posted photos of it on job 1 yesterday. Think this is the first time tha CMQ has had all the barns up and run at the same time.

Been asking on the Facebook groups and have not gotten any information about it. I hope they are repairing 9004 but I will add it took about 3 years before 9022 was fully operational. I got to give the crew at Derby credit though. I had figure when 2001 went down with an electric problem on the Rock...

There may be two more ex MMA units at Derby. Found a STB document a month ago (from September 2014) that CMQ purchase MMA 8544 and MMA 8561. I don’t know if they still at Derby or if they been resold, parted out, or scraped. This document also includes 2001-2006 and 22 which was later sold. Also las...

Yesterday 1006 was reviled to the public. Looks great in a CMQ paint scheme based off of the BAR E7 paint scheme. One thing that I noted from Kevin Burkholder Facebook live stream of the revile was that CMQ is Leasing 4 more GP38 from CITX on top of the AC4400CW. Info from Kevin Burkholder Facebook ...

Derby is still going. CMQ is promoting it as a car repair shop on there new website. The town of Milo purchased the land from MMA last year and from what I understand they have an agreement with CMQ. Part of it was cleaning up the site. CMQ has been getting the old MMA equipment that was sold at the...

Interest. So will 2003 or 2004 be heading to the Rockland Branch to help 2006, or will it just be 2006.

I agree on that. Sorry ment I’m my last post that the GP20D’s would more then likely end up on the Bangor and Newport Subdivision with B23-7 (2003 and 2004). This would free up the GP38-3 / GP38M-3 and GP35U to help the SD40F and SD40-2 on the Millinocket, Moosehead, Stanbridge and Sherbrooke Subdiv...
