NJT ran their ALP-44s with 8 Comet cars in the past, so it's safe to say that's the maximum they could handle. I have heard they ran with 6 Multilevels too.
NJ Transit to least all 2300-series units except 2302 as per a SEPTA employee on this Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1707396662901662/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;): http://www.railroad.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=168645#p1490700" onclick=&qu...
As per the admin of the “SEPTA AEM-7 + ALP-44 + ACS-64” Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1707396662901662/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), NJ Transit is to lease motors 2301 and 2303-2308 from SEPTA to assist with the PTC equipment shortage. 2302 to remain w...
Very late to the party but GP40PH-2B 4219 is currently on regular rotations just like it was 2008 and before. 6-car Comet set.
The IV cabs have “outdated braking systems” deemed “incompatible with the ALP-46 engines”, which quite frankly should be perfectly fine when paired with Geeps or any of the older diesels. IMO they should’ve remained while the Comet V cabs stay with the ALPs and PLs.

Most likely MN is thinking of the NJT MLV-II design as the next loco hauled Coach/Cab Car,to be shared with LIRR as their C-5 coach/cab car and with ConnDOT as the next gen Shoreliner design. Since MN opted out of the M-9,Figure on the MN/ConnDOT M-10 design and the M-11 design next up after the lo...
There are many more south of Long Branch stops such as Belmar and Manasquan.
Wow. Making the trains all local stop in a time when tourists without cars typically use public transport to get to the Jersey Shore, and after sports betting came into Monmouth Park too? Quite possibly one of the worst ideas conceived this summer by NJT. I think NJT should run Jersey Shore express...
As per the engineer of this set (Jim) today’s 5416 will be the last run of this set; reports have been circulating an ALP45DP+8 Comets set used on the 5100 rotations will be in place. 4200 is due for its 92-day inspection.
Shuttle set 2 by what I know is PL42 4003+6 Comets+6035 as of Wednesday
X320 comes off 3275. X434 could've been easily 4376.

As a resident on the NJCL, the sets on 2600-series trains are routinely used on 3200-series electric trains that run to/from NYC. For example, 2605 turns for 3272, 2607 for 3274, 2609 for 3267, and 2611 for I believe 3284 or 3288 I'm not completely sure
