Revisited the thread from years ago about the FLRR storing cars from Penn Yan to Bellona.(2010 ?)

I see now Finger Lakes Rail Riders on Havens Corners Rd uses the rails heading south for aways.
Question is who owns the ROW? Yates County?

Caught an article on Trains. Com about a Canadian Pacific freight stalling on a grade in Iowa , then sliding back down the grade toward a diamond holding a BNSF freight . Number of dramatic quotes via radio by the crew but my question is :: Crew said they were ‘sliding back to the yard whether they ...

Update on the rail trail plans. Attended a public meeting the town had on the proposals and asking for public input. Presentation by their consultant indicated the initial trail to go from Main Street westerly to just north of the Curtis Museum , then comes to a screeching halt as DEC finds an Eagle...

After all these years driving that way on the 190 never gave it a thought as to where those tracks went . Well now I know - no where ! Again too bad those new warehouse businesses that parallel the ROW and the 290 couldn’t have used rail service . Looking around that area now over by the OOS Huntley...

I’ll grab some new photos A really impressive development. HUGE as the car commercials used to say. Fairly large gantry type crane structures in place now along side the siding now . Now that I can upload pics I’ll go over to my other thread later to post updates on the short rail trail developments...

For years I’d always caught that stack with its plume of smoke as I was on the escarpment in Clarence . Always in front of me as I came north on Transit Rd at the old Eastern Hillary Mall: 20miles? 30? And now as I drive across Niagara county in the area of Lockport and Gasport all the high tension ...
