Ben: Good picture of the three equipment types at Penn Coach Yard. That vantage point is well known thanks to our own Chuchubob... Everyone: I have had coining a nickname for the new Acela train on my mind for some time... During the stay-at-home I was watching videos of the test train - and that n...

This morning on my way into Temple, I noticed a number of SEPTA's Comet I cars at the Midvale Bus Depot. How long have they been there? I know that Midvale's backlot is often used as SEPTA's de facto repository for retired equipment, but it seems to me that it would be more trouble than its worth to...

Push Pull cars in Woodbourne Yard

On my way home from Temple today, I noticed two of the Push Pull cars cut in a CSX freight each with their reporting marks spray-painted on a window. One of them was 2501 and the other had a Blue Cross wrap ad on it. What's going on with these two?

The railcars have made their first trip under their own power.

I ride SEPTA 5 days a week to Temple University and from what I can tell, the Vs seem to be holding up pretty well and comfort wise are about the same as the IVs (neither of which hold a candle to the Bombers, especially the refurbished ones).

My best guess.........20 years from now they will be putting in a bike trail between Lansdale and Bethlehem once the last few remaining industries along that line dry up and the freight business cashes in their chips and goes home. I don't see that happening; none of the freight customers along tha...
