I believe it is part of the trackage rights negotiated under the Pan Am acquisition that allows VRS to shuttle their cars between points on their their system versus waiting 2-3 days or more for NECR to move them the short distance to BF.
As it pertains to the 50th, August is still a few months away so, maybe around late June-mid July, they'll start promoting it. I don't think you'll be heading up for a normal day, though, as I have said before, the Mountaineer, Sawyer River and Conway runs show departures for every other day in Aug...
