Unless your really into maintenance I would try for train crew. Or go for both and see what happens.
Just bc you don't have welding is not going to be a deal breaker. If you have worked with pneumatics that's a big plus.

You are pool or alternate. So they like you however there are not enough positions as there are qualified canidates. You may be called and you may not. My advice would be to keep applying.
