Shoulda extended PATH directly to the airport, with one station serving the 3 terminals through walkways. Or one station for each terminal. Or just use more buses.

This was a case of politicians wanting a photo op. vs. a real opening.

I imagine it would be prohibitively expensive to build a new underground yard, or an underground second level for an existing yard?......

They brought out a Diesel locomotive to haul out the third rail Blue Line metro train on Preview Day because the third rail hadn't been installed.

Build it. Cut-and-cover, not some deep level 2nd Avenue style tunnels. Roosevelt is wide enough to support the construction.

And the subway would provide alternatives for people in case, say, portions of a certain highway collapse.

Given how many times people throw themselves and/or other people in front of a subway car, it would be worth it. Not sure about cats, though. When was the last time we had subway kittens stop the trains? Spotted this guy at Prospect Park, on the shuttle track, but at the south end of the track. No ...

So that's what will be at the Pathmark, I remember it being closed for a long time. Then some years ago I was walking on 125th, and noticed they had torn the building down.

With the open gangway it goes from 10 cars to 5 cars or removed from service. I believe the articulation join is not over a tr...

It might be a shortage of bus operators. In the past, they have closed down the whole line, but if I suppose that requires many buses compared to a few trains.
