The GP38-2 did not have head end power to supply the cars . Only some MP15 were set up to supply power to the cars. So cab cars could not be used. That’s why they used FA control cabs with head end power. Then both type of engines could be used gp38, mp15

Read that the Delaware river bridge in PA is out of service. Any word if repairs are being planned?

Was in Schenectady by the casino and noticed the steel company building has like 4 bays with overhead doors. The building looks like an old RR shop building the way the doors are lined up,

Here’s a crazy idea. When the amfleet cars are retired some rich rail fans can buy them and use them as private cars. They shouldn’t need upgrades as they would be Amtrak compatible.

Mohawk model RR hobby in Rotterdam is closing. Not much left in the NY capital area to go to. Only know one shop in Latham and another in Amsterdam.

How is a CWR train loaded? It’s easy unloading it but I don’t know how they load it up with risks.

LIRR all ways had commuter service to Penn. PRR was long distance trains at the station. Didn’t PRR commuter service end in NJ? Penn got crowded when NJ transit started to run into Penn.
