Re: traffic on Morrisville/Harrisburg/Reading lines

Wow, no replies? Well, I would guesstimate about 6 on a good day, judging by the traffic I hear. I'm not certain if Q190/Q191 still use NS since they've been running single-stack lately.

Re: Train Dispatcher

Thanks, but do you (or anyone else) know if it will generate territories for version 2? I'm under the impression that it won't, though I would definitely buy it if it can. Alternatively, I guess I'll have to wait to see if something shows up for sale on eBay or wherever.

Re: SEPTA Mid-Winter Trip XIV

No idea, but - and keep in mind that I'm just throwing this out there - consider a run to Media/Elwyn, since you're a signal fan. That's about the only RRD line that has much in the way of anything anymore.

Train Dispatcher

Does anybody know if this is still for sale? Second hand or whatever is fine, if permissible. Their site says it was still able to be found on eBay from time to time. I'm actually more interested in the Track Builder, especially for version 2, if possible. I think I owned a registered copy at some p...

Re: Newtown Line

Just an interesting perspective I'd share here: My wife and I are actively house-shopping in both Yardley and Newtown. We're leaning towards Yardley because of rail access, even though I prefer Newtown proper. Plus, I don't want to live near a trail; I'm not so old that I forgot what it was like whe...

Re: Newtown Line Technical Questions

Thanks, folks this definitely helps. I didn't get a chance to "walk the line" yet, though I have scoped out most crossings and some interesting places near publicly-accessible points. Up until this thread, I only had the track chart and Google Earth/Bing Maps, and the actual map I'm using in the sim...

Re: Newtown Line Technical Questions

Thanks for the replies everyone; every scrap of info helps. I've been following that map and I had guessed the home signals would be tri-light as I had heard way back in the past that Conrail had rebuilt the signals not long before SEPTA took over the line and that SEPTA. However, I would not have g...

Newtown Line Technical Questions

Hi. I am currently modelling the line in Auran Trainz. In fact, I've already built it, but would like some bits of info to check for accuracy. 1. It seems that most of the grade crossings didn't have gates. Did any have them? 2. I remember a suggestion that the Terwood crossing had a wig-wag? Does a...

Re: SEPTA Rider phone home!

Well, for $50-$70, you can have your own!

Actually, I remember in the early-to-mid 90's, pay phones were a booming franchise business, like Redbox (for lack of a better description) is now.

Re: Abandoned line to Lawrenceville

Re: Abandoned Trains in New Jersey

I seem to remember back in the mid 90s when I was doing primary flight training flying over the south Burlington and/or Camden County area and seeing lots of long strings of abandoned-looking cars parked, many if not mostly passenger cars. It could have been further south but that's how I remember i...

It should be visible if you go on East State Street east of Whitehead Road, near. HAM interlocking tower.

Re: Trenton Area Former Industry

Homasote is still an active customer on the Trenton Industrial (OP, that's the track coming off the West Trenton line.) There also used to be a Canada Dry bottler and some other businesses there according to my ZTS maps. ZTS maps, by the way, are a good way of getting to know the lay of the land as ...

Phil O.-

I suggest going over the http://www.philadelphiaspeaks.com and float your ideas there as well. You should get quite a bit of good feedback as to what will and won't work.
