One of the possibilities to also watch would be the cleanup of the Passaic River in that area as well.

The 240 actually went to the Valley Railroad in Connecticut before going to the Tioga Central.

Extra section through Rutherford yesterday around 1pm. Dash 9, SD60, GP38-2 doing all of 10mph wide open on its knees with around 75 cars.

All Conrail freight schedules for the eastbound TV trains used to have a few hours padded onto them at Port Jervis and all the westbounds operated late at night. I remember being able to go to Rutherford late at night and catch the TV201 roar though with the OIEL not to far after him depending on if...

Should be noted that it is technically processed scrap, not large pieces of junk dumped into a gon. The gons all appear to be Iowa Interstate cars.

I didn't drive by the interchange but it appears all 10 cars have been crammed into the property in Passaic.

1267 is coupled up to the bay window caboose with the 436 behind it sitting outside the shed today while the 1268 and the FA are inside. The 1268 is blocking everything in so most likely the unit to reposition everything. The 436 is sandwiched in by the FA which will have to be moved out of the way to get to the 436. No inbounds on the interchange in Garfield as of noon today.

I had heard of problems with car availability when they went to the 2 day a week format as far as the C&D goes. I also heard other things about moving traffic, but it's not an evil plot by NS and CSX as most people are trying to make it out to be.
