That's a coincidence I was just looking at time life photos of what looks like an identical industrial tug that worked during ww2 at the US Army Terminal in Brooklyn, carrying the remains of fallen ww2 servicemen as they came off ships to be re-repatriated to US graveyards, truly a powerful series o...

Nice work, very impressive. Is that Musconetcong river UG bridge still in good enough shape to handle a train? How far south can a train safely traverse without having to speed dial the block truck?

Again very nice work. You guys deserve a few mis-routed beer cars.

Wow you guys keep adding new lines for the TFTT (yes it needs an acronym, as it is partly camouflaged). It's kind of off topic but, does it ever interfere with the HOS to volunteer for the TFTT and then be legally rested for the regular job on Monday?

They go that fast every day. One engineer I worked with always referred to clear track 100mph as going for "ludicrous speed". The Acela goes plaid daily. Did you pass this signal? According to norac it is "Approach Ludicrous - Proceed to next signal at ludicrous speed. Trains exceedi...

Question? The track is in service as far as Pinchers Point Rd right? Is that the end of the rebuilt rail, and from there on its all track recently reclaimed from the woods? Or is the rebuilt rail further down from Pinchers Point Rd? The place looks good, especially when you consider that the black t...

I've noticed the '45s pulling train 1081 west past milepost 41 on #1 track almost daily at around 19:10 hrs. You can't miss them because the engineer has to call the M&E on the radio for the signal and state "On Diesel Power" before the M&E lets them west out of Dover. I'm not real...

Whoa, I spotted a rail train tied down between Dover and Denville on #2 track Saturday (04/22/12) around 14:00. They ("Dover Extra") were taking a few cars around the wye seperate from the rail train, pulling west on #1 track to Dover interlocking, then shoving east on #2 track, coupling t...

WOW! Thanks! Long story but I typed in vapor-clark and it brought up wabtec (who doesn't love wabtec, except 19th century brakemen?) Wabtec didn't have it but they were mentioned in a Bombardier spec sheet which specifies a "Conductor's Buzzer 4.50KHZ." Then another Google search turned up...

This might be an off the wall question, but here goes. Does anyone know the manufacturer, brand, or model number of the communication buzzers used for passenger rail cars? I have seen the buttons (normally open, push button closed) and have even seen the "alerter" buzzers for the cab signa...
