Is the new switch for Gershow in addition to the old Paraco switch? I know they realigned that switch and it looks like they were using it last time I was there.
Great to see so much activity in the area!

Saw probably the largest train I ever saw go though Medford today. 29 cars with a mp15 and a gp up front and two gp’s on the rear. Looks like they shoved most of the cars into BRT on the trip east and they continued on to the gas place in river head. Probably has been larger trains in the past but t...
Saw 101 go out to BRT and back west today. Was great to see something different out here.
Why does LIRR own these engines?
I caught them passing though yaphank last Sunday and they switched BRT. Do they normally run on Sunday?
Any reason that the LIRR is still changing off peak fares? I buy a monthly and do not get any discount. For a agency that is loosing a massive amount of cash I can not understand why they are doing this.
As someone who has visited the area significantly in the past I will no longer visit this region or spend any money there. In fact as a life long resident of NY I am moving out to greener pastures at the end of this year.
I apologize if I missed it but what is going on with the north end? Did they remove the rails? Any equipment still up there?
I usually see them go east though Medford around 130-230 during week days
Great photos Railseast!
Cant believe CR is gone seems like it was just yesterday that I was tired of all the blue paint. Now I would do almost anything to go back to those days.
Anyone know where 4109 usually runs? I am doing a trip to NJ in a few weeks and would like to try to get a shot of it if I can.
Looks like they are indeed installing a temporary platform over the new track at Merllion Ave.
Looks like they started laying the third track at Merillon Ave. station
Anyone know when this siding is served? I use the walking trail frequently and I have never seen a train on it. The fence place seems to get a decent amount of covered hoppers.
Great videos thanks for taking the time to share these!
