That would be control car 1649 since it was equipped with ACSES to enable it to be used down south. They should consider transferring 1649 t...

Re: Happenings on the MARC line

The door cab car should be locked as passengers should not be able to access it. On VRE they lock the cab car door. In the mornings, as the train heads north to DC, the trains are driven via the cab car as the locomotive is pushing the train. Sometimes I wish I could tell the engineer to stop drivi...

Re: Metro to install vinyl wrapping on 3K/6K, look more like

On my last trip to DC in April, I haven't seen any new repaited (wrapped) units but when I go there during this summer I hope to catch some new repainted cars

Re: CSX Selling Trackage

The former Boston & Albany main and related branch lines in Massachusetts.

Those I think are being purchased by MaSSDOT for potential MBTA Commuter expansion especially to Springfield and further west and the spurs in Eastern Mass for more MBTA Services

Re: All Things WMATA 7000 Series

There was a time back in the 90's when you never saw a 1K series train on the Red line ever. Red line was strictly 2k, 3k and 4k. I remember in the 80s (late '86-early'87, it was the other way around, Red Line was 65% 1K, 34% 3K, 1% 2K when I rode it and lived in the area. The 2Ks were confined mos...
