DCL's Locomotives for Sale

RS-18 #182, T-6 #19 and the two B23-7's are listed for sale, by their owner. The RS-36 that DCL rostered, #2, is not shown, and several people have enquired. It would be great if Delaware-Lackawanna, LA&L, WNY&PA or Arkansas & Missouri snatched them all up to overhaul, repaint & GO!!!!!!!. BABY, GO!...

Re: LIRR Mainline Third Track Project

How has this project affected NY & Atantic's oil customer in New Hyde Park? I believe they use the beginnings of a spur that once extended to Nassau Terminal Road????

Interesting. Maybe when it begins operating, the need for rail service will become evident.

Re: LIRR Video with Question

The Oyster Bay-bound train had an E-20 on each end. I don't think I ever saw that before.

Re: Signals at Stony Brook

Yes, and at the west end of the station controlling W/B movements. At the east end of the station, at the switch for the siding, there is also a stand-alone position-light signal. A lot of signals in a small area of railroad.

Signals at Stony Brook

Passed by Stony Brook LIRR station last night on -25A. Hadn't been out that way in a very long time. Anyway, very elaborate array of PRR-style position light signals controlling the vicinity. Nice to see there are still that type of signal in use.

Re: Delmarva track between Berlin and Snow Hill reopening.

Was any track work required before operations resumed, or had the trackage been maintained with an eye to possible new business in the future? Thanks.

Re: Current Roster including Leasers

Obviously the NYA could've made much better use of the SW-1001s than the LIRR. If NYA had been able to hold on to them, they could've been run through Altoona for rebuilding, like the MP-15ac's, after they're done. Weren't some of the GP38-2's sent out for rebuilding, or re-gearing, to the P&W, some...
