Change the law - either way - probably would not be done because the NY portion is changing to a rail trail and to add a third lane eastbount only on 84 would be the solution. I say electrify to run M7's through to Danbury which is a growing city.

Two months ago I saw rail car with rails parked near Flatbush Ave. My thought was they were going to install Welded rail between Oakwood and Parkville and extend the area of double track for passenger trains. Is that going to happen?

They already did a study. No need to waste money again. They added a passing siding (or two, not sure) and found electrification cost too much with minimal time savings.
