The Crybaby-in-Chief is probably my eight-year-old daughter. Having said that, I've seen rumor on what Grandfather refers to as 'Squirrel.net' that on Tuesday CA-51 had 3 loaded 70 ton hoppers off of CMSL bound for North Dakota. While it doesn't feel quite right for a whole bunch of reasons I'm per...
These tracks are very much still active. The official name of this line is the Camden Belt Line and it's the original line between what was the PRSL's Coopers Pt. yard and Bulson Street Yard in South Camden. The major customer on the branch is now South Jersey Port's Joseph A. Balzano terminal (form...
Are you sure the Point branch isn't owned by NJT? I was 90% sure it was included in CMSL's lease, which is with NJT. I'm sure Conrail would have sold off that real estate long ago if they had control.
Well there won't be any rusty rail after tonight - NS 502 rolling southbound through Hi-Nella at 12:14AM 11/23, bound for the plant.
This was posted on the CMSL facebook page earlier today (11/20/2012): We know so many of you are eagerly awaiting the posting of the schedule. We expect to post it very very soon. We appreciate your patience. Many of the other questions you are asking have already been answered here, so scroll thro...

In talking with CMSL management in the past, statistically ridership has always been highest on weekdays and lower on weekends when tourists are doing other seashore related things like hitting the beach.

Great to see some more action on the CMSL in Cape May County!
The power is a NS-UP-UP lash up. Your guess is as good as mine as to when it will run. Must wait for a qualified crew.

Absolutely, and I agree. I was just answering Ken's question.
Ken,
While this is not confirmed, plant sources have indicated that the Beesleys Point Industrial Track may in fact be removed for placement of the pipeline.

Just for the sake of clarification, it is the segment between Woodbine and Cape May Courthouse, which encompasses the vandalized portion at Dennisville, that requires potentially millions in repair.

In pre-PRSL times, why didn't the Atlantic City Railroad both before and after Reading control, make an effort to reach terminal points that were not on the seashore like the WJRR did? WJRR reached Vineland, Millville, Woodbury, Salem, etc, but other than the Grenloch Branch there really aren't any...
