I think they 'barely' allowed them on the high line. From what I understand from some of the employee volunteers I was talking to, CSX was nowhere near as cooperative as NS. The work window on the high line on Sunday really through a wrench into the works from what I was told. I think when it comes ...
And will the same symbol be in effect while on CSX (Philly's "High Line") and Amtrak (30th Street Station to PHIL interlocking; Harrisburg station tracks)?. Amtrak's train number for this train is 803. On CSX, if their typical symbols apply, should be P803. Not sure how NS will symbol us.
According to trainorders's current thread about the excursion, the route has changed and will include the Port Road and probably not the High Line. Here is the link posted below. http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?4,3541546" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I'll b...
Sounds like the testing of Electric Locks and Signals are occurring on the line today. Traffic heard on AAR 68 - 161.13. Rule 261 is supposed to go into effect at 6:01pm this evening from what i heard over the radio.
Did some exploring last night, and found two of the new CPs:
Donald - right by the Parsonage Rd Underpass in Iselin.
Ron - Appears to be ex PD.
The rest of them, not sure yet. I want to know who came up with these names... lol
From what I was able to gather, CP Donald is before St Georges going east.
Sounds like new CP names and/or signals are starting to get cut in. Heard 202 get a form D from CP Bound Brook and CP Donald.
Also, heard earlier a CP Karen and a CP Ralph, so it sounds like changes are on the way...
I understand the testing was done in the Perryville area last night. Any idea where they will be tonight?

Amtrak has made it official. Just in time to get this thread back on topic. The 165 mph test runs begin tonight on Sept 24 and will be performed on four segments on the NEC, including Perryville to Wilmington. Press release is at http://www.amtrak.com/ccurl/623/361/Amtrak-to-Operate-Test-Trains-at-...
It was also my understanding that the Chemical Coast was supposed to get signaled too - this was from a road foreman that got caught captive in our town during Hurricane Irene last year.

Thanks!
Does anyone know what the symbol of the train was? Thoughts with the crew of the train and the residents of Columbus.
