With the advent of Covid 19 more people are staying at home. This has been enabling crews on the highways and roads to continue working and get things done faster and even according to NBC 4 the L Subway Train Tunnel reconstruction project to renovate the tunnel due to Hurricane Sandy Damage has bee...

Thank you. Wishful thinking I suppose but as some have said "Stranger things have happened in the industry." So far the only chatter I've heard is the Southern and perhaps Louisville and Nashville Fans pushing for respective Name Trains to be done. I figure the Crescent would be next as th...

IMHO I wouldn't call the Lackawanna Cutoff Dead but scaled back from the grand scale it was supposed to be? Yes. I myself don't believe at all that NJT Trains will go anywhere near Scranton. That imho should be Amtrak Trains. Even when Miss Phoebe Snow and Lake Cities along with the other name train...

Next Walthers Name Train

Hello, So far I haven't heard much about the next name train. I've heard quite a few folks hoping for the Southern Crescent. I would love if a Lackawanna/Erie Lackawanna Phoebe Snow came out or the Lake Cities. But if Walthers really wants to impress and throw a curve ball then perhaps the CNJ Blue ...

Absolutely ridiculous its taking so long. With all the mess NJDEP has made with the NJ Sierra Club they've really done alot of damage. At the very least if there was no interference this could've gone as far as Blairstown or atleast East Stroudsberg then PA would have to come up with the funding.

Does anyone know which railroads have their own Environmental, Health and Safety Departments or contract that out to a vendor and if so to whom? Thank you.

Hello, Does anyone know whats will the next Walthers Passenger Name Train will be? I had hoped for the Lackawanna and Erie Lackawanna Phoebe Snow. Possibly even the CNJ Blue Comet.

What a damn shame and missed opportunity to reactivate the tracks and bring back passenger excursion service especially where Morris County Central ran trains up to the run around tracks around Harrison Ave then back to Whippany.

I really wish NJT would reconsider and put the light rail in here and resurrect the Newark-Elizabeth Lightrail via Newark Airport. Not only would the ex CNJ come back but you're not relying on only heavy rail incase theres a delay or suspension of service. Plus it would be nice to see ex CNJ Elizabe...

Amtrak FL-9s

Did Amtrak run the FL-9s all the way to Chicago or no? Where did Amtrak run them out of NYP? What was the furthest they pulled a revenue train to?

I understand what some of you have said regarding dwindling ridership but that was back then. The highways are getting clogged more then ever. I've spoken to people who've committed from as far as East Strouds to as close as Mt Arlington and the traffic is getting worse. It was bad on Rts 80 and 46 ...

At the very least money should be earmarked for the portion to East Stroudsburg. Beyond that PA can pay for the bill to Scranton and hammer out an operating agreement should they want to go to Scranton.

As I mentioned a few months ago According the the collection of railroad scedules I have, the fastest the Phoebe Snow did from Hoboken to Scanton was 3 hours and 15 minutes with stops in Newark, Dover, Blairstown and a few others. A very long ride indeed. But then again not everyone will be travelin...

Nothing west of Andover? How about Blairstown and the Delware Watergap? Atleast NJT's orginal idea was just to go up to East Stroudsberg like what they do on the PJ Line where the crew change occurs in Suffern NY (First town on the line in Upstate NY). Park and Rides can easily be built at these lco...

Scrap project? I DONT THINK SO PAL! The damn bats don't even live there. This is just more BS from the Sierra Club that for whatever reason was against this project. Those guys are a disgrace! They have said nothing at all about the highway lobby but go full throttle in their opposition against the ...
