More then likely they are dropping rail down for a rail replacement project in the near future on the Port Road.

Im really not sure when they run down to the mill. But they do run the high and wide trains on Saturday mourning from Lancaster to Coastsville and back.

I did notice (sorry no pictures) that I'm guessing its Amtrak doing tie replacement on the middle track under the Rt. 202 overpass the other week. Still looks like it is all still replaced with wood in that area. Not sure how far or how much they are doing.

It is a GE 44-ton switcher that came from the Middletown & New Jersey Railraod in Middletown NY. It is mostly used in the colder months when there is a high demand for propane.
