AHA! Arrowhead!

So the nice blue containers are NOT related to the stinky ex-containers? Does anyone know the name of the company handling the ex-container cars in Ayer? I can't find any listing of a company working out of that area.
YUP, the wood would have been used as "cribbing" for the granite... I missed the unloading myself, but I am told two cars were unloaded first, then we caught them as they were returned to the Stony Brook switch... then they returned with the third loaded gondola. Then it was time to go hom...
THANKS to the anonymous poster who added some location info to my blog topic! Still, no real answer to my question regarding the left-side of the cab. Closest answer was from Backshophoss
The moving-train scenes in the cab were definitely not done in a studio. There are even behind the scenes photos proving that. It is more than obvious when watching the film. And that is from someone who thought it was somewhat lackluster as a whole!
HI folks A recent blog post of mine is a review of Silver Streak (1976), and while putting together screen-shots, it all of a sudden dawned on me that the lead unit of the movie's consist, CP 4070, appears to have dual controls. One wonders just what the inspection schedule/process is for the tunnel these days. Better than under the "B&M" alone, I hope.

I just learned that MASS Dot DID indeed buy the Worcester line... when did THAT happen??? I haven't talked to many railfans lately or maybe I would have known. But the person I got the info from is very reputable. Can't say I am happy about the state gobbling up so many MA lines, BUT then again, it'...
Concerning that notice from the MBTA regarding track work last year, why would the MBTA even be involved? They don't own the track or run trains on it (other than detours). Did they perhaps know that Boston may possibly be taking the Grand Junction bridge out of service for years thanks to a Mass Pi...

Got it, then I won't pester him with another one... YET!
I have never actually received a response from emails to him...
OK, so not just down for me... not sure if that is good or bad...
Alas, the site really needs a major update. Not sure the owner is interested in that. Has anyone yet dropped him an email asking what's up?
