As mentioned above, these signal issues are a result of that kid climbing a cat pole and causing major headaches during the Friday evening rush. Since Friday night, dispatchers have been unable to give signals westbound at Mansfield interlocking and cannot display signals eastbound at Hebronville. B...

It isn't CSXT's train. It was probably placed there for emergency responder training, that's the purpose of the train.

For the Vermonter, one Boston trains are pulled out of the station I believe by a terminal switcher, then are brought to the servicing area just south of the station, turned around the loop, then backed into the station for their next departure. That was old practice back in the 90's. Trains are sh...

It's not that easy to just run an extra. The Vermonter runs on freight carriers' lines above Springfield and also, don't forget that it is state funded. As high as ridership may soar, the government most likely will NOT want to contribute any extra cash. Lastly, manpower may also be an issue.

Sounds like you are referring to the Boston car wash . The doors on each end have a painting of a Genesis locomotive with the number "1994" on the number boards. The wash was built in 1994 and recently renovated a few years ago. Before it's renovation in 2011/2012 it was operated by an ope...
