Yesterday, the Cog Railway opened for the 147th season! I can not figure out to upload pictures or I would.
It will allow faster turn around times and ultimately more trains on the mountain each day. There is a sixth diesel and a brand new coach in production.
There is talk of a second steam run in the afternoon
I went up to the cog last weekend and was going to hike the boundary line trail. I got up to the cog base station and saw this weird cabin on a flat bed. It kinda reminds me of that baggage car I saw in a picture a very long time ago. I know it wouldn't be a baggage car, but I don't know what it is...
The State of Maine sprays one half of the line between Fryeburg and Sebago lake each year to control weeds, This year Fryeburg to Baldwin was done. This coming year is supposed to be from Baldwin to the lake. Those of us who use it in our motor cars do a good job of keeping trees and heavy brush off...

I haven't been in many years now. I'm sure it has grown ever larger over the years. I used to man a booth for the Cog Railway, but missed a year and never got back into it. It's a great show, I may check it out this year.
Yes, he sure does good work. I feel lucky to have been able to buy that model. The details are amazing. There is even an "owners manual" to go with it!
