The June 1974 issue of RMC had an article on how to build a Penn Central transfer caboose. I built one many years ago and painted it Conrail-----however I no longer have a need for it. Anyone interested?

It is kept in Rockdale and is used everyday when shoving to the various industries........
NW2 #9271 and 9278 also had this type of window arrangement. Since I started the original topic nearly four years ago, I have yet to find out the reason "why" the NYC needed locomotives with this type of modification. Anyone have any insight??

Barr Yard is located at 135th & Halsted in Riverdale. Our 59th Street Yard is located on 59th street between Damen and Western. As a CSX T&E employee, you'd be expected to be available for both yards.
Read somewhere that A.B. Stickney (president of various railroads) named Clearing because his idea would be that the BRC would serve as a "clearinghouse" for freight cars......
