Yes...I am aware the pictures are sideways. Unable to figure out how to correct them...apologies.
The train was a little late and I had time to take some pictures from the pocket track next to track 4.
Although there are many more passenger (commuter) trains operated on ex-NYNH&H tracks between NYC amd New Haven, is the overall density greater now than say 1960 when freight activity is considered?
Just curious if anyone knows where this project is at this point. Haven't seen any activity, not that that is conclusive evidence there is no progress.
Thanks, Saugs
Track 3 has been OOS through Westport and E Norwalk for a while and there doesn't seem to be much activity to reinstall the wire. Anyone have an idea on the ETA for this project?
Train (9 cars of M8) failed at the changeover and the computer software is confused, apparently. They brought up another train to the rear and we are in the process of transferring. A very long process.
Those 'S' cars appear to be a lot of trouble.
I am on the 6:34 am train from Westport to GCT. We have been stopped just east of Pelham on track 1 since 7:20. The announcements have been unintelligible. Was wondering if anyone has any info on what the issue is with this train.
Thanks,
Saugatuck
Hearing power issues at GCT and trains delayed in- and out-bound.
Does anyone have insight into the issue as it stands now - thank you.

0:00 from Bridgeport to GCT. Sitting in first car of train.
9 cars of older MU's. Making 0:00 stop at East Norwalk. First 5 off platform. Train stops with head end past station. All doors open. Whoops.
Perhaps it's apocryphal, but wasn't it 'Y' for Yankee as in New England as in where most NHRR trains originated and terminated?
That space formerly occupied by NYW&B tracks through Larchmont of which you speak has been occupied by I-95 since 1954. There is no room for a 5th track in that area.
One thing I wonder about is how this weekly parade of trains out of New York on summer Friday evenings would thread its way through local commuter and especially freight traffic. Were there substantial freight movements during the late afternoon/evening, or was the schedule framed so that there woul...
and we still have issue of Connecticut underfunding its operation and Commuters not paying fair share. the issue is about yesterdays computer glitch and trains stopped, its not about your personal rants on service. this is a rail fan forum, not a commuter bitch list. Oh, how irresponsible of me. I ...
Ok, let's pretend for a minute that there is no such thing as Twitter.
We still have a systemic issue with how MNRR is managed. You industry pros can pretend otherwise, but you're just fooling yourselves.
