Why would you want to operate a train with more than one S-car in a consist???

Have they extended the over-running 3rd rail out to the 60Hz/25Hz change-over area yet? M8's will not operate on a 25Hz system.

6 FL9's at $420K are worthless without having ACSES equipment on them. $350K won't even buy you enough ACSES on board equipment to retrofit two locomotives. The math is pretty simple, loco not equipped with ACSES = no deal.

Wasn't this contract suppose to have been awarded last year? Rebuilding the P40 fleet in addition to the "top deck overhaul" of the GP40's?
