Tie replacement going on at Mt. Tom Junction, expect them to be behind my condo in Holyoke sometime next week.

It's the bridge over the canal that does have structural issues, don't know the status of repairs though.

Whole parade of MOW equipment went south behind my condo in Holyoke at 8:15am, with more following. Crossing lights keep going on and off, they might be working on them as no vehicles are passing by at the time.

The Williamsburg Branch was intended to bust over the Berkshire Range to North Adams, though that project never went through. I think the more laughable route is the Brattleboro-North Adams line... Here's another one: The light blue line between Northampton and Pittsfield is interesting, because it never existed! The line was originally a branch of the Canal Line which only extended as far as Williamsburg.

Yesterday's #56 had two NECR units in the blue/gold paint scheme in addition to the two Amtrak locomotives. Why the extra power? Is it the snow up north? He was also running late at 4:20pm.
