Its been awhile since I was at CP Draw or CP 2. I don't have my track layout schematic handy at the moment. Too much to do other than look up track maps. Is that where the Compromise branch splits off (I see the diamond) ? Looks like a NS yard to the left ????

Looks to me they aren't just upgrading / changing the server. They lost a lot of members the first shutdown. I almost didn't come back. But postings really tapered off since then. Now it's a political push to cancel sites like these, & put all activity on sites like Twitter & FaceBook.

I worked in that power plant in the mid '90's. Used to have to wash down (sluice) the cinders from inside the boilers every 6 hours. Could step outside and watch the coal cars unload on my break. Depressing for sure. :( After all that work, I've been ruined here by unemployment in the South, and am ...

Let's see, Zone 8 page 3, Fairport... Hmmm, yea this is close but a bit too recent (1989 ?). I see the spur to Agway at Turk Hill Road is missing (track was left in the woods for a couple decades) and I believe the 211 & 212 leads went to Conking & Calabrese Lumber which moved to a nearby pr...

It is already way too late !!! But never too late to turn around. Twenty years ago when I graduated the state university with an engineering degree, I looked around and applied for jobs, and all I found were 5 engineering jobs open at the time, but 12 employment agencies were all posting for the sam...

I was in Buffalo last Sunday, and there were plenty of cars in there, behind a couple cuts of autoracks. I only drove down Broadway to hang out at N. Ogden, but from there I saw 5 trains in the matter of 1 hour between 3 & 4 pm (CSX Trash train WB, Amtrak WB, EB Stack train, CP Power switching W...

Gowanda yard is getting that string of new cars ? Are the expanding plastics plants in Houston that overloaded they need to store new leased cars in Gowanda, or is this for new up & coming business on the NYLE ??? Awesome video BTW. You are getting away from the topic. "Still in Use" I think not.

Furthermore, I don't think anyone's gonna ship old rail from the 1880-90's back to Pittsburgh. It's not the same composition as modern scrap, and would only contaminate their melting pots. Interesting.

Don't know what symbol it was, didn't have a working scanner this time. Just went to grab some food 9:30 one morning at a nearby gas station in Reece City (35904) and saw a headlight approaching. So I scrambled to find a spectator spot. It was southbound between Fort Payne and Attalla. Good luck. :P
