hmm, thats pricey! and they arent AC units either.. the MP15AC was better... has a tunnel motor sound to it..same concept.

Are there any Pan Am experts in this forum? I need an exact count and road # list for ALL Pan Am locomotives that are in Pan AM Paint..either phase I or II. Thanks!

I would only guess the only reason why Guilford sold those SD45's to MRL is because they didnt need that much horsepower on almost no grades... i have seen MRL trackage... it's insane 2.5% grades over Mullen Pass... Usually 18 SD45's it takes to get a coal train over that pass... that's 50,000 horse...

Well..... 679 is done! in my model world ill have to say that the real 679 blew up and PAR ordered an aditional SD40 from someone and #'s it this way for now.....

I know they were FUEL hoggs by todays prices with 20 cylinders but they were awesome! they ARE awesome... actually, thanks for the reminder.. I did see 1 on MRL in a DVD I have..their other SD45's and 45-2's came from CSX/FAMILY LINES... Not to get off RR but MRL is a awesome railroad to watch too i...

Ok COol... Does anyone have pictures of the painted 601 yet? I dont have decals for those #s yet so I had to make up my own # on this... 679...LOL! Eh, sometimes ya cant always be 100% prototypical....... Ill see if I can get some decals for the SD40's cause im going to do 2 more in Phase II... .......
