Greetings, 1)When was the roundhouse truncated like this? after multiple fires in the roundhouse it was decared unsafe.....it was knocked down in the 1970's 2)Garden Tracks as referred to outside the roundhouse, correct? and of LIRR vintage? Greetings, These cars also were also equipped with dynamic brake thus the problem with braking came when they converted the cars to diesel hauled service and traction mtrs were removed. The TBU's were not designed for use without dynamic brake. KRO52

The 397 was purchased in the 1980's from LILCO in Island Park. The 398,399 were purchased new in 1958.

It used to be LI 608. Al P's crew of electricians in the back shop worked their magic and produced in-house a unit capable of 480vac and 600vdc using the turn of a switch. Greetings, I would say that is Richmond Hill's car wash. As note Babylon also had a car wash. I don't believe Morris Park ever had a car wash, just a locomotive wash next to the round house. KRO52
