You guys would have been impressed with the trains pulling out of Baer in the 90's when the Bel Del was running "dirt trains" for a remediation project in north Jersey. If I remember correctly, the bel del would shove a string of 25-50 gons south from pburg to Baer, two geeps on the north ...

Geez, must've been really crowded (and busy) in Ringoes yard, just saw 1202 heading north with 7 or 8 empty flats.

Just read on FB that trains on the Black River were cancelled today because a bridge was damaged.

Anyone know which bridge? My guess is Dayton Road, seems like at least once a year someone tries to stuff a 10 ft high truck through a 9ft 8" bridge....

Another nice consist heading South (LV112 leading). There are four railfans (including me) at the Ford/Lincoln/Nissan dealership here, so this added some excitement to an otherwise slow day....

Just read on NJ.com that their are two un-named companies interested in the Bemis property.

Hopefully whoever buys will want to get their material by rail.

I'd rather see an invasion of BDRV/BRW Geeps/SW's and maybe even a SD9

I remember back when we put the Baer switch in, I was told the quarry is loaded with that river rock, which is easy to extract from the ground (no blasting required!).

Let's hope they get a big contract with the folks in Florida!

I saw a couple of recent photos of BRW 752 venturing up to Hudson Yard in P'Burg. Anyone know what she brought back to the Bel Del? Freight? Coaches? Freight. Baer is shipping a few cars of stone to a place in Florida That's great! I've always thought that if Baer upgraded their processing equipmen...

I was saddened to read about the passing of long time BRW volunteer John Konn.

Does anyone know how many years he was with the railroad?

I didn't know him too well, but he always seemed like a great guy, and a very dedicated volunteer.
