I became friends with Don & Bill Pullman several years ago.
The parts warehouse he created was of great $ benifit to the museum.
Had a chance to ride the trackless operation that he created.
He will be missed by many across the nation.

The "Airline" train from East Hampton (Cobalt) east has existed for a while. In the past couple of years an effort has started to extend the trail west to Portland, CT. That would be from where line crossed route 66. Some of it has been finished. BTW the line west of the route 66 crossing ...

I'm a fellow operator at Shoreline Trolley in Branford. Funny story from years ago ... first time I took my grandchildern from NJ to Strasburg the boy got scared of the big steam engine. So, the next year I showed him one of Lee's videos of an Essex Steam train. He wasn't scared anymore. RIP my frie...

That freight house was rebuilt with a smaller footprint.
There is only the one track that comes to a bumper at Route 66 in Portland.
On the other side of the road is the Anderson Feed Store.
Trailer trucks deliver there now.

When in East Hampton High School in downtown I would see NH pulling a few cars across the RxR that crossed main street on it's way to Willimantic.
Portland, close to the river, there were a few customers & where RxR crosses Route 66 there is a feed store that took a car now & then.

Those Gons are still being parked at Middletown or just north … also the yard usually contains a lot of Gons
