West side of 58th north of Woodland is where the loop was, probably something like 4 or 5 properties north of Woodland Ave.

It would be nice if they'd say which are the 50, or is it 60, routes that will remain in service.

Do I misinterpret the photos? It sure looks like the locomotive stopped several blocks before getting to the ship, and even if it did get closer it would still need to be airborne dozens of feet over the water to hit the ship, and it wasn't aimed towards it, but rather towards the pier to which the ...

Either youtube help or google or both showed me how to save a still from a video. I don't remember it, but I know I found it once so you probably should be able to. I also can't remember if it needed 3rd party software, but however I got it was for free, although I bet there's professional software ...

Haven't the New York passengers already broken quarantine if there were any other passengers in their car from other places? And passengers from places beyond New York should be considered New York passengers unless no one from New York got into their car, which is pretty difficult to do if the crew...

I'd like to propose a new idea here. Saying "it didnt' work in ____ year so it won't work now" is pretty silly. That may be valid sometimes, but also sometimes silly is "I just got a shock sticking a fork in the electrical outlet. I wonder what will happen if I do it again?" 2. ...

Ordinarily, and of course these are not ordinary times, I firmly believe that driving our nation's highways is one of the most dangerous things one can do, and anything that causes people to drive instead of take public transit is unsafe. I have to temper that though with the thought that getting ex...

The thread's title has it backwards. There should be a case for passenger locomotives for freight trains or at least head end powered locomotives for refrigerated unit trains for transporting perishable freight? :)

The $4.95 registration fee reimbursement is good only on 2 cards per account. This is obviously another GOTCHA revenue source, but why garner such bad feeling from customers? Once burned I'm sure people will try to remember to open multiple accounts to register the extra cards, and most families mus...

Where do you get your understanding that the original equipment had less capacity? They had longitudinal seats, so all other things being equal they should have more capacity. Is it possible that your understanding is that they had fewer seats? That wouldn't account for the standees. Also the origin...

What about sleeping berths on buses? It's been a long time since I've seen them, but decades ago in Key West, which more decades ago had train service, I saw 2 long distance buses with compartment hatches on the outside that the driver said were for sleeping berths. They looked extremely tiny like t...

The headline pretty much says it all in my opinion. This would have been more useful years ago before I got an unlimited cell phone data plan and SEPTA's next to arrive app.

CNJGeep, andrewjw, how certain are you that PATH will go to the airport? New Jersey governor or the reporter or both mix up airtrain station and airport. Even if PATH goes to the airport will it be efficient for normally long PATH trains to make as many stops inside the airport as the much shorter a...
