Wait to see what actually comes out before jumping to conclusions. The intent per the MTA chairman at yesterdays meeting was to have "hourly service" during off peak times and increased trains during rush hour. We'll see what actually gets published in the next day or two.

I can't pull up the reference marks in the schedules on the MN website, but I don't see anything in the columns that might mean "train may leave ahead of schedule." When trains actually leave that early, doesn't it leave some irate passengers standing on the platform, who arrived in plent...

What is the group opinion on the new departure boards st GCT? Opinions were already taken into consideration a few years ago when this project was in the planning stage. There were three different styles of these boards on display in Vanderbilt Hall where outside input was received. If I remember c...

The off peak trains that currently turn at Crestwood are only doing that for the duration of the White Plains station project.

I do realize that the North White Plains station has 3 tracks and locals often sit there waiting for the southbound express. Track three is not a through track and is only used to bring trains in and out of the yard. Occasionally trains will be turned there too. Tracks one and two are through tracks.

It was places like Bedford Hills, New Canaan and Southport that supported club cars back in the NYC/NH days, and they could probably do so again. Never say Never but.... It will "never" happen. MTA board members have made is very clear that they do not support the club cars or bar carts o...

If premium seating were implemented on MNRR, they would have to do a complete overhaul of their ticketing procedures and system. Currently, when one buys a ticket, there is no commitment riding a specific train. If there were premium seating, they would have to link all of the ticket vending machine...

And why does the state favor drivers, giving them a free road, while passenger train riders need to pay part of their fare? I wouldn't consider driving in NY free. There is the cost of vehicle registration and driver's license fees. Being I live in once of the counties the MTA service's, I pay a pr...

It's too short to serve any current day trains and is used for storage and offices.

They are currently testing all T&E's for sleep apnea. I'm not sure what the qualifiers are for pre employment.

Now that we're into the new year, where did Malloy's office get this information? Pages 91 and 93 of the December, 2018 Joint Metro-North and Long Island Committees Meeting (http://web.mta.info/mta/news/books/pdf/181210_0830_MNRLI.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) states ...

It's nothing to do with train capacity, conductors or travel time. It has everything to do with CDOT and their policies. Metro North only operates the trains to CDOT's specifications.

Like that's something new.

Don't hold your breath. Amtrak and Metro North are not playing nicely.

Metro North controls the track for approximately two miles north of Poughkeepsie. CP75 is north of Marist Collage, just south of the crossing at Clear Water Drive.
