First time to Toronto (hopefully)....advice?

If the NY DMV gets me my new enhanced license, then this Sunday I'll be headed from Buffalo to Toronto for a day trip for the first time ever.

Anything to be sure to see on a Sunday? Are there any sorts of rules or laws which may be different in CAN when it comes to photography of railroads, etc?

I recall seeing one "dumped" in the woods just east of the Erie Port Jervis depot. Grant it, this was 20-25 years ago, but I highly doubt it got up and walked away.

A more local person would be able to confirm or deny.

Johnny Cash used to make sure the term 'hobo' wasn't confused with the word 'bum'. Hobo's would be the guys hoping freights to go and look for work. Bums were just looking for handouts and a free ride. The hit version of SUNDAY MORNING COMING DOWN was recorded during a RIDE THIS TRAIN segment on hob...

From what I was told a few years back, it had no relation to the Central aside from the font they used, which was obviously done on purpose.

It's not hard to see that the anti-rail folks have been busy lobbying the APA on this. ARTA and their ilk want the rails up so they can turn the corridor into forever wild (sorry snowmobilers and hikers - you're collateral damage). Which basically means "If you can't win the game legally, yank...

Yeah...something in this story stinks beyond comprehension.

And the resident loose-cannon from ARTA, the group waging war on the Adirondack Scenic, couldn't wait to jump in with his own trademarked verbal diarrhea:

Someone said this is part of a shakedown routine, as in if you pay us enough money, we move the problem railcars elsewhere. Supposedly, it's been done before in the Chicago area already. So who knows. Desperate financial times often call for desperate tactics. Governor Cuomo is making statements wi...

Hey Gang.....it seems that ARTA's resident Vending machine expert and parking lot stalker is bored with no parking lot to stalk this season, so now he is cutting and pasting all of the recent discord from the last bunch of posts here. I take no sides in the 8223 debate because as of this writing I d...

Bringing an old thread back to life as this past weekend I finally got a look at the entire Conway Branch from the CSR line to Ossipee and beyond. I've read the restoration feasibility study from 10+ years ago....so where, if anywhere, do things stand now? As far as 40+ year abandoned lines, I've de...
