I've seen the wite train make the same move several times since I posted this, and Amtrak hasn't had wire problems that I was aware of. So I guessed wrong.

I noticed somewhere that a certain type of diesel in Germany i think it was, is called a doodlebug. The East-German V180 diesel locomotives had that nickname.
