Hope everyone is staying healthy. This mornings drive by revealed track is laid within a few feet of green street and starting at 140 and working back towards green street rails are also in place. Also, the road bed from 140 towards Milford had been freshly graded. Crews were on site this a.m.

Alot of activity approaching Green street Hopedale this morning!

A track crew was working near the rte 16 crossing in Hopedale this morning 1/21. I had a green light so couldn't really see what they were doing. The only place I hope for a red light in my commute and I don't get one...

Looks like rail is being laid out in Hopedale to the bridge as of this a.m.

Looks like fresh ballast is being graded between Rte16 and the Hopedale Street bridge in Hopedale as of this morning.

In support of that I noticed this morning that the ROW from rte 140 to the hopedale St bridge was snow plowed. Perhaps to keep it clear for trackwork soon.

Just an FYI - road bed reconstruction is now going on between Hopedale and Rt 140 in Milford. The old ties/rails have been removed. A new base is being graded near Green St.

F-Line you are correct. CSX removed the "yard" rails quite some time ago when they also took up the last of the rail that went across Central Street and dead ended shortly after. The Coal/Oil dealer on Depot Street also stopped receiving coal shipments around the same time (late 90s?) The ...

The work they are referring to is the crossings. There is still mainline work to be done although it appears quite a bit has been done in Milford along and across Depot street. Rte 16 crossing is complete as are crossings on Green Street (as well as the infamous "driveway"). I imagine Rte 140 is done by now too but I haven't been that way lately. I wonder if there is a plant to install grade crossing protection on 16 and 140 ? The stretch from Milford to Hopedale...

Looks like a complete railbed rebuild at the Freedom St crossing in Hopedale. They started last Friday and continuing today. I noticed a lot of joint settling all the way up the hill.

Progress is being made in the Depot St area of Milford. Driving by this morning I saw new ties all laid out on a new bed. Sorry I didn't have the camera with me.
