spotted a ballast train on the north branch. Anyone know what's happening?

I went to cp5 early yesterday morning to see what was going on. I doubt they will make a bridge along side the old one. The span is to short and the tracks immediately crosses a grade crossing. Hard to believe that the bridge is over a hundred years old?

Anyone know where #21 is? I passed the museum last Saturday and didn't see it anywhere.

CSX is doing track work on the North Branch. Two days in a row I spotted the equipment and men working near the fort lee road crossing while heading home from work.

The only other spot that I know of is the road south of Bens Bridge that goes over the exiting tracks. So, there are no trespassing signs there too? That was a decent alternative spot

I cross over the tracks heading east on rt. 46 in the afternoon and lately I've seen a gondola car on the main just south of the highway. I had the impression that nothing is running on the line?

I went on a road trip at the end of June and visited the north end of this trestle. Does anyone know the town or village at the north end of the James River trestle? Madison Heights is located directly east of that location.

It's a very busy line so you will not be disappointed. The curve is not a photogenic spot but it's like an amphitheater when the train pass. It's awesome sound. Getting to the curve though can be tricky. I got lost a few times on the way there. Downtown by the museum, you can watch from three bridge...

Just a suggestion. Why not move something like an old coach in a spot as bait to attract and catch the taggers on video?

I passed by the M&E yard in Morristown and didn't see any of the locos that there buying. When will they be ariving?

The outside of this building does not attract anyone in a positive way. Whoever designed the so called artwork was on drugs. The whole complex is an eye sore. The crossing lights at the fort lee road grade crossing are the same as the old ones. They are not in operation yet. The old ones are still there.
