So what about this NYC boxcar I've been teased with? -otto- I believe that was across the street in the storage yard. From what I could see (it was dreary, chilly, and rainy, plus those stroller chariots were all over the place traversing the very full parking lot) it was painted but not lettered. ...

Hope it is kosher to bump this thread, I am a model railroader and am incorporating this quarry as a module on my next build. I was wondering if anyone has any information on the internal switching of this industrial railroad? Perhaps notes on what Spurs ship blocks versus slabs to the cutting hous...

F-line to Dudley via Park - Thank-you. That's an eye opener. I was going by the thread title and not the "bigger picture". However, I just can't see a train with 2 SD40-2s, 15-20 MRRX C&D cars and another 20-25 double stacks, plus propane cars, spine cars, and boxcars roaring through L...

My view from the couch. It appears there's just not enough business interest in the Enfield area. There's an oil dealer and a concrete plant on the active part that are not using rail and another oil facility and warehouses up in the Moody / Shaker Road area. I'm sure they have been approached and/o...

Thank=you for the website link. I downloaded them. Wish there was something similar available for the Vermont trolley lines.

I'm surprised this isn't being consummated under the G&W banner. I also wonder if the Alco switchers / Claremont Jct shop are part of the deal, though it doesn't seem likely?

While browsing on the forums here, it was interesting to see the discussion of our LIRR MP-54 4153. A comment earlier in the conversation that stated "they could care less about the thing and would gladly let it rot" couldn't be further from the truth. That certainly is not our intent wit...

Well until a few years ago Housatonic RS3m 9935 nee Conrail qualified. A sad tale. Hopefully she will operate again.

Lake Congamond. Southwick, Ma. right next to New Haven & Northampton (NH) Canal Line. Not sure if the NH provided service. I'm sure a google search would yield something I guess I'll look. edit: here ya go: http://home.comcast.net/~congamond/history1.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href...

Need the get the TOC to talk to the CNZR (Central New England) up here in CT. The CNZR was looking for mechanical RS-1 parts. I mentioned to the CNZR a few months about the TOC RS-1s but had assumed the derelict RS-1s were scrapped by then. Would be nice to have 240 back here.

Retired M-2s. Those are used for training purposes (accidents, terrorist, etc). There's a tank car there too. You can get a good view (and ice cream) at the Dairy Cream.
