They're pretty much incompatible with the Exo fleet, and on top of everything else, there were a host of defects still to be dealt with. What differences are their between the SEPTA and EXO cars and how significant are these variations? I'd recommend SEPTA wait and see with ConnDOT's Alstom single ...

If anything, the two pilot cars already completed, might best be delivered to EXO/AMT and join their CRRC fleet.

Otherwise they would be orphans.

Good grief. MBTA should be next.

The New York Transit Museum might be interested in featuring your book in store (at Grand Central and online) and might even host a lecture or book talk on the topic.

Small fry compared to EL and NJT which ran the Comet I fleet with open doors. An episode of Unsolved Mysteries in the late 80s mentions a commuter who accidentally drowned in the Passaic River through an open door in the vestibule as he was about to get off at Newark Broad Street.

With the shutdown of the Port of Baltimore following this mornings bridge collapse, does anyone know of an alternate port to handle offloading of railcars onto the national network. Port Newark via CSAO? Kawasaki shipped cars via Port Newark, for example. CSX also serves the Port of Philadelphia (n...

There are a few motels on Highway 17 in White River. Sudbury is about 300 km east from the Sault.

If you are staying in Sudbury, and have some extra time, check out the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce or Sudbury City Site for interesting events and places in the era.

Why would the MBTA want the Springfield factory? It's just going to close after the orders are completed. Would it be a Is it even connected by rail? In theory, assembly of new cars could be done in-house, much like NYCT doing it at 207 Street or Coney Island. In fact the BMT did just that with its...

As for CSX freights from Long Island, waste traffic is up since DSNY is now preferring to have waste by rail as
opposed to trailers to Pennsylvania landfills. Nassau and Suffolk counties in addition to Brooklyn and Queens
also send out waste as well.
