Re: 4/16/2023 Regional Rail Schedule changes

I have a quick question. Rather than complain about my dissatisfaction with the schedules here on the forum, is there a place other than SEPTA's Online Comment Form where I can give feedback that is not immediately dismissed? A change in the afternoon train times on the Trenton Line is going to resu...

Re: Why does Amtrak still serve North Philadelphia & Cornwells Heights?

MACTRAXX, the Cornwells Heights shuttles still operate and meet with inbound and outbound SEPTA trains at the station. However, they have not run in recent days due to system-wide operator shortages. CWH Is probably the most patronized station on the SEPTA Trenton Line (given the PennDOT-subsidized ...

With the exception of lots not owned by SEPTA all suburban parking should still be free. This has been true for every station I've visited for over a year now. See the red text at the top of the page http://www4.septa.org/parking/ While this is true, people are going to return to working in Center ...

It seems like Key is finally being used for everything now...except parking at the Regional Rail lots. I know my home station has had those shiny new Key parking kiosks for years now, but riders have been instructed to use the slot box at the top of the parking lot for payment since. Does anybody kn...

Re: New Dinky to Nassau Street

This would seem to be an ideal circumstance for NJT and SEPTA to work with each other and have NJT lease a few MUs from SEPTA. SEPTA would provide maintenance as part of its fleet. Pre-COVID, SEPTA had no cars to spare. Hell, they were leasing some coaches from MARC up until the virus hit. NJT will...

I live in Yardley, Pa. At what point will SEPTA restart service on the lines that have been suspended due to the Covid pandemic? What measures will Septa need to have in place to make sure trains are sanitized properly? Hope it restarts sooner rather than later... Regional Rail returns to an Enhanc...

SEPTA has options at the end of the NJT order. Per SEPTA's current proposed Capital Budget on Page 9: Current funding will not allow SEPTA to utilize an option it has on a New Jersey Transit procurement to begin the replacement of the Silverliner IV fleet nor pursue associated vehicle procurements ...

OK would you explain what Tap out and Tap in is exactly? Tap In-Tap Out is SEPTA's implementation of the Key Card on the RRD. The RRD fares are based on distance, unlike the CTD. So if you have a key card, you need to tap in at your origin station, and tap out at your destination station. If you do...

I am dumbfounded by requiring people to tap out on the outbound side if they have a pass. Just don’t make Zone 2 passes work in Zone 4 for example. Unless you are on a train that serves one zone it is impossible to aggressively track zones with legacy passes. Legacy passes are able to be visually i...

Why not just charge you for zone 4 if you don't tap out on the wallet or a fee if you don't have a zone 4 pass? It would work just like the Turnpike if you lose your ticket. You get charged the max rate. The $3.75 that they are charging is the same as the fare between stations on the same RR line. ...

Sorry to bump this topic, but I heard a rumor this morning that something happened with the CRRC order.
