Is there any plan or intention to restart interchange at Keag prior to the end of Pan Am Railways?

Assuming that the STB does NOT grant PAR trackage rights to Brownville giving PAR the choice either going back to Keag or negotiating haulage rights with CP, is there any realistic chance that PAR might actually choose going back to Keag?

How much train traffic runs on that line? EDRJ (East Deerfield to Rotterdam Junction) and RJED each run 5 days per week, if I'm not mistaken. Also, the local RJ-1 might pass there on any given day, and there are infrequent unit grain trains to Ayer. Also, technically the tracks through there, origi...

I hope Bill does see it, as that sounds very helpful! Thanks to all for the information. Ben and anyone else interested in the Guilford roster: the all-time roster pdf file that some of you have seen is based on an MS Word document that I haven't updated in a few years. I am, however, continuing to...

Note that the "new" sleeper car which was briefly ST 41 has been renumbered to ST 103. It's new name is "Syd Culliford". It has NOT yet been repainted.

New Blue 609 is leaving the property. It was on POED enroute to Juniata Back Shop, Altoona, allegedly sold to GATX.

The monthly PAR loco report on the Guilford Yahoo Group appears to have ended with the June report. As I recall, the last report showed the 007 still in service at Waterville. It is used to shuffle locomotives on the transfer table. The Guilford Yahoo Group is no more. HOWEVER, the Guilford IO Grou...

Agreed. That said, upgrading from 25 to 40 makes a huge difference, cutting travel time almost in half — assuming, of course, that it's maintained and doesn't drop back to 25 within a year or two of being rehabbed. Taming the slop-ops is almost a bigger challenge for this outfit than whacking the s...

The B40's are likely to be replacements for a pair of units. I know ST has sent back at least 1 of the B's already. Wonder if the C is to replace the one they still haven't managed to place in service? AFAIK, there was only one B40 that was returned to GE and is awaiting a replacement, that being 5...

Did you catch the number of today's NewBlue in the FI-1/FI-2 parking spot? Thanks!

Emphasis added: In fact, the judge had found that 99 percent of the injuries to Pan Am employees that required a report to the railway administration led to the company filing disciplinary charges against the worker. Well, that's one way to institute a corporate culture of safety. NOT! Dysfunction ...

December 25 is perhaps the worst day to be posting anything that might seem less than charitable, but it is Guilford -- technically Springfield Terminal, whatever and however many rebrandings it may have had and might continue to have -- that is under discussion. The NS 3400s and then the LTEXs and...
