Until Amtrak lifts their mask mandate I won’t be traveling with them. I’m not going to risk passing out or suffocating from wearing one or TWO (🙄) pieces of fabric for 2+ hours that provide just about zero protection for/from me or anyone else. I was afraid to death of COVID-19 in the beginning. I ...

Yes, the engine and coaches are backed up to the old station for cleaning and replenishment after the passengers depart at the new station.

I was through that area yesterday. They have put a lot of time and money into completing the bike trail from the Falls to Lewiston. It passes the site of the old RM Pkwy bridge at ground level. Many trees have been planted and this area is going to be nice! Whirlpool St is repaved and nice to drive ...

Everyone: Good to know about the fully completed status of the Genesee Arch Bridge. The picture by John Kucko of the NS Office Car train on the bridge shows off the structure well... Has there been any trespasser problems concerning the GAB this year now that we are more than half way through Summe...

No longer partake in the finer beverages, but at the risk of being outside the subject confines of this thread here are a few old watering holes that used to be extant: In addition, there was a bar in East Syracuse, name long ago forgotten, just west of the East Syracuse Amtrak station that sat rig...

I believe that the Warsaw Depot at the top or Rochester St is still owned and used by R&S. Just recently the old wooden freight ramp was removed from het SW side of the building. That building has great memories for me, as my Grandfather worked out of that station from 1912 to 1953. He lived hal...

My grandfather was a track foreman on the BR&P from Warsaw south a number of miles from 1920 - 1953. As such I am interested in riding the old ROW south of the Silver Springs flyover through to Machias Jct. I know that part of the ROW is a snowmobile trail, and I have checked the most recent sat...

The overpass is open to just beyond the tracks, so while there is no access to the gardens, you can still railfan from the foot bridge.
