You have to understand history. I absolutely think that. The line makes no money. The whole not having anyone to inspect the equipment line is VERY fishy as FRA (safety folks) were on the job during the shutdown and the shutdown ended the day NJT blamed the shutdown! Train 4623 also had 5 cars and a V cab....looks like they're keeping them down here.

I'm amazed how much the line has grown over the years... I remember about 10 years ago, a few sets were just 2 cars long! Great to see it doing much better.

What about the I-Bs that returned from Montreal? Not all of the I-Bs went west to Caltrans. I wasn't including the 1Bs as they weren't part of the Comet 1 fleet that was the EL cars built by Pullman.
