Thanks everyone for the equipment sources. Project capacity research and shopping is underway to complete my fleet.

I want to achieve a rail equivalent of this...

With the weight you're talking, over the rear axle, you don't need me to mention that you'll need a hydraulic rig verses manual. Yes. It's similar to researching and building my spray boat. I needed to add the max weight (and distribution) I was planning to carry, with extra for contingency, and ass...

I'm looking to achieve a truck + hi rail equipment similar to this...I'll add the sprayer or buy my own truck and assemble the setup with add on hi rail gear plus the spray equipment.

I'm a successful small scale, freelance vegetation control professional and am seeking an earlier model pickup truck w/hi rail capability or Mid Atlantic supplier of hi rail equipment to install on my vehicle. The goal is to add small scale track spraying to my scope of work through the installation...

I have lots of pics of the yard pre abandonment when I moved to Town in 2000. I also found a few maps/diagrams indicating same but with indications of a past turntable in one corner and an engine shed. I haven't found anything with more detail or old vintage photos...I'm looking for research leads t...

Outstanding. That would be a fascinating chase...albeit a slow one, more of a follow.

This is just up the road from me @ work...don't know how recent the pic of the hoppers but I'll swing by and check out the area. Yea, I've only seen the NEC switched at night...

The actual Millersville passenger Station is the small shed-like structure in pics 1,2 and 4. Miller Station is so-labelled in the plan schematic; my office is in the "dwelling" The "dwelling" has quite a bit of history itself associated with the railroad as home of The Millers a...

I always found more train action in the morning, a lull in the noon/afternoon, then a pickup again come evening/night.
I would start taking a break or exploring new areas around this afternoon "lull"...I think that'd be a good time to visit B&O.

Yea, I drove down Telegraph Road in Odenton last week and saw that and went H*ly ****...it was jarring. As part of the long-term WB&A rail-trail system its hoped that somehow the Miller Station house can become incorporated into the railfan community/rail history interpretation. This place is a ...

I don't see why not; its right down the road from St. Denis on CSX. NEC was never much interest to me except on the east side w/the (then Conrail now NS) traffic from their Bayview Yard and traffic to Consol Coal and asst ops. Unfortunately, most of that freight traffic works at night. If you look s...
