Won't stop people from suing anyway. Numerous instances of NIMBY's suing to get rid of a railroad that had been there for over 100 years.

Just need to get a politico to side with them to start getting the government to ban them from reinstalling the rails.

Was there any ever thought of connecting Main, Bergen, Pascack Valley, and Port Jervis lines into New York if capacity could be increased? I’m assuming for now changing at Secaucus will have to suffice for those lines.

Not sure where you got your U-Boat data from but the first ship sunk off the US coast was in January 1942. Figures might be accurate for 1942 but not 1941.
