What a way to run a railroad !! Sad, it is , a person could bicycle the Old Fitch quicker than the PAR !
Thanks , I recall that unit was in MEC yellow at least until May of 88 ! Thanks again for the update.
Was the MEC 573 ever painted in Guilford grey , I do not recall !
You are saying the the CSX route to the south via the River Line is not better than the roundabout way PAS has to take? Hell, they have to take the same crazy route just to go west. What traffic has PAS stolen from CSX? The Fords always went to Ayer, except for that brief time they were going to Fr...
I do not believe that the powers that be at PAR know the answers to your question !
I think that it is funny that a tobacco co. gave it away and resources were used to write the grant ! Any bets as to when she'll be dipped ?
I have a few questions. 1. Can you see the tracks through Bozeman Pass on I-90? 2. Is there a viewable spot of the fueling and maintenance tracks at Helena? 3. Are there viewing spots at the Livingston shops? 4. Are the F45s viewable from public property in Livingston? 5. How many units are stored ...
According to a post on a Yahoo group , CSX had a train today with 2 CN units with GRS MEC 316 spliced in the middle. So 2 units must be floating on CSX. The horsepower payback is for ? SEWA/WASE ??
Thanks for the infomation, it is sad when a knowledgable railroader has no recourse other than to resign .
Great Point , a classic portrayal of learned behavior ! Was this GM from NS ?
As long as the unit was still in the consist , I do not see the need to issue a new Form D. PAR/Big G seems to make everything so complicated when it comes to moving trains.
Looks like PAS business is indeed picking up ! Todays MOAY has two sections , 1st section is all autos , 2nd is the intermodal. Looks to be a busy day on the fmr B&M!!
Great report ! I ask this question , why can't the crew take mary from the 518 and just get on the head end and go ?
That would be a great thing , I am waiting for PAS to spring NE84/NE87 type service between Rigby and Mohawk. Those were great trains in their day!
