I have a question for those employed by NS and CSX. Has the snow that fell on the east coast over the weekend hindered rail traffic? Specifically in the Baltimore area and any trains running into southwestern PA. The reason I asked; I work in a mine in sw PA. We were told that we were idle for this ...

depending on where you live but want to work cumberland, why not move to markleysburg or farmington. im pretty sure that its anywhere between 40 minutes to an hour drive to cumberland. and if you decide to go back to cville, its still not a bad drive.

even though there is talk about "green" energy sources like windmills, nuclear power, clean coal technology, i don't think coal will be eliminated as an energy source, at least not any time soon. to get to the point where we're using windmills, etc. as enrgy and not coal, alot of money nee...

i don't know that i would put something on my resume that wasn't true. if you weren't the safety officer, don't put it. if they find out you lied, you're application becomes a history lesson. what you can include is something along the lines of "during the course of your daily duties you utiliz...

once you complete your training and you mark up, you are a conductor. however, as everybody on here will say, depending on where you're working at, you could be furloughed as soon as you mark up. but some are lucky and are never furloughed. also, the first few years of your career you can more than ...
