Unless something has happened recently or a locomotive is in the shop for a 90 day or minor work, all of the E15s not leased to the NY&A (those are 151, 155, 156, 159) are all (150-172) operational other than 153, 162, 165, and 169. The 162 has been on the deadline since 2002 and the 169 since t...

The E15 in Freeport is the 165...down and out after an incident a few weeks ago.

4:30pm westbound at Jay would likely make that the RS41, returning westbound from Pineaire to Fresh Pond.

11:50am, Westbound RS61 with 271/151 and around 25 cars - mainly empty hoppers, boxcars, centerbeams - through Holbrook today. Didn't see them heading east.

They would be insane if they painted 155 before 268 or 261, or even a 1001... More than likely there's a slight problem that NY&A doesn't need or want to fix at the moment; until they start bringing whatever 1001 that had the ASC box out on the road, they don't need the 155 running. But then aga...

The tonners already have been replaced. One's out in Riverhead, and the other 2 are supposed to be getting donated to OBRM sometime soon if they haven't been already.

I've seen some as far west as Alamosa, CO before, I'm sure a few made it out to California too.

Thanks, I can shoot stuff way better than that though, that's pretty old. That was taken in Bellerose on the mainline, NY&A RS41 with 156 and 159 if I remember right.

That was just C-66, it was sent out to be rebuilt as a Presidential car and was painted similar to the way that 60 is painted now. That plan fell through, and it's sitting in Holban with the others, definately needing a new paint job.

Pretty terrible picture from a few months ago, it wasn't good to start, but no idea what happened to the quality or why I only have a small size. You can see a SOO boxcar right behind the E15s.

The hacks are all OOS now, the last time one was used as far as I know was on a MOW train a few years back. With the exception of one, they all sit coupled together in Holban now, most are heavily graffitied and beaten up. C66 is also in there too.

Hey all, I'm working on some repaints of the Long Island GP38-2's for Auran's Trainz Railroad Sim, and I was wondering if anybody out there knew and/or had the font that the LIRR used for the numbers on the numberboards found on the GP38-2s, FA's, and F7s in the later years. (mid 80s on) Is there an...

Hey Scrap,

Nice to hear from ya again.

Do all of the ex-LI engines have that new speed control system now? Awhile back I saw 261 in Pond and it had its ASC box torn out, so I assume that's what's happening with the rest of the stuff.
